The deadline for the 2015-2016 CUNY/Labor Arts Contest is fast approaching: student entries are due March 7, 2016.
The contest invites students to submit writing or art about labor issues. Supported by the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation, the contest is open to CUNY undergraduates, and offers cash prizes up to $1,000 in four categories: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and visual art.
Over the past five years, we have had hundreds of entries from almost every CUNY campus, with winners representing the senior, community, and comprehensive colleges, and first-year students through seniors.
