Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship

All students interested in applying for the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship, MUST adhere to the following requirements:
 
  • Be a sophomore or recent graduate.  Current students must be enrolled at the two-year institution at the time of nomination and have sophomore status by December 31, 2012.  Recent alumni must have graduated within the last five years (since spring 2008).
  • Be planning to pursue a baccalaureate degree full-time at an accredited four-year institution starting in fall 2013.
  • Have a cumulative college GPA of 3.50 or better on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). This cumulative GPA must include all college-level courses. 
  • Have significant unmet financial need.
To begin the process, please complete the application by 5 P.M. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2012.  ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY 5 P.M. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2012.  If you do not complete the application by 5 P.M. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2012, you will not be considered for the scholarship.

After 5 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, Professor Sandy Figueroa, chair of the Scholarship and Awards Committee, will send the applications to the members of the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Subcommittee for review.  To expedite the process, please make sure that you meet all of the criteria.  You will not be eligible for the next step in the process unless you meet ALL of the criteria.
