CUNY Transition Process Timeline
The transition to Brightspace in CUNY will be in a phased manner over four semesters, spanning from fall 2023 to spring 2025. This phased approach ensures a smooth and organized transition for all campuses and their respective communities.
Hostos is in the first transition group. During that time, the CUNY LMS admin will migrate courses in preparation for using Brightspace. You will not be required to use D2L Brightspace in spring 2024 – you will teach using Blackboard. Training resources and opportunities are available to you on this page. Hostos is scheduled to start using D2L Brightspace in the summer of 2024.
