Quick Eval in Brightspace simplifies the grading process by listing all gradable items in an individual course and also across your courses in a single view. This feature is invaluable for educators who handle multiple assignments and discussions from different courses simplifying the task of managing and prioritizing the grading workload.

Example

You are teaching several courses in a semester, each with its own set of assignments, quizzes, and discussion posts. As the term progresses, the volume of items requiring grading accumulates. This is how you can manage your grading workload with the Quick Eval tool.

When you access Quick Eval tool from the college homepage, you find a consolidated list of submissions from your various Political Science courses. This includes a policy analysis paper from your International Relations class, a set of reflective essays from Political Theories 101, and a series of weekly discussion posts from an advanced seminar on Contemporary Political Issues.
This unified view allows you to efficiently see which items need immediate attention, regardless of the course they belong to. You decide to tackle the assignments based on their due dates, starting with the earliest submissions.
As you grade each item and provide feedback, they are marked as completed and automatically removed from the Quick Eval list. This not only helps you keep track of what’s been graded but also what still needs your attention across all your courses.
