FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Microlearning, Certificate Programs & Workshops
The college offers a range of opportunities for faculty to enhance their skills and knowledge through self-paced courses, microlearning courses, and synchronous training sessions. All of these professional development opportunities help faculty members stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and technologies, and support their ongoing professional growth.
Brightspace Faculty Hub
This resource center is tailored to empower faculty members in navigating and mastering Brightspace. You will find an array of tools and materials, including detailed guides on key LMS functionalities, workshops designed to enhance your digital teaching skills, and other resources to facilitate your course management.
Microlearning is a teaching strategy where educational material is delivered in manageable, bite-sized portions that are simple to comprehend and remember. The microlearning format aims to give learners the knowledge and abilities they need to carry out certain activities or address particular problems without overwhelming them with too much information at once.
Online Teaching Certificate Programs
Self-paced courses allow you to work at you own pace and on their own schedule, making it convenient for your busy schedules.
Instuctor-Led Workshops are live, online sessions that offer real-time interaction with faculty members. These training sessions provide hands-on learning opportunities and allow faculty to apply what they have learned in a dynamic and interactive environment.
