The Educational Technology Leadership Council (ETLC), formerly called the Academic Computing Committee, was established in the fall of 1994 and serves as an advisory body to the Office of Educational Technology and the Office of Academic Affairs in matters that relate to educational technology. Membership consists of faculty representatives from each of the academic departments, including the Library. Additionally, EdTech staff participate in an advisory capacity. The EdTech Leadership Council is co-chaired by the Director and the Faculty Liaison to the Office of Educational Technology, and serves as an effective vehicle to maintain an active and vital avenue of communication between the faculty and the Office of Academic Affairs regarding topics and issues within its purview. The objectives of this council are to:
- Foster the purposeful integration of technology into teaching and learning
- Recommend policies and protocols for the effective use and implementation of academic technology
- Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Promote the development of active communities of practice and support
- Research and recommend the implementation of professional development and support structures
- Promote the advancement of digital learning

Professor Jacqueline M. DiSanto is currently an Assistant Professor and the Unit Coordinator (for Teacher Education) in the Education Department at Hostos Community College of the City University of New York. Prior to working at the college, Professor DiSanto served as an elementary-school principal and as a high-school vice-principal. During her over thirty years in education, she has also taught business and English at both the college and secondary levels and has served as an educational consultant for numerous corporations. Professor DiSanto earned her doctorate at St. John’s University in the Instructional Leadership program and conducted her research on the effects of learning-style strategies on the academic achievement and attitudes of secondary students studying twelfth-grade literature.
Wilfredo Rodríguez has been the Office of Educational Technology Coordinator since April 2012. He oversees the daily operations of the office by ensuring that all academic year goals are delineated, accomplished, and exceeded according to the Academic Year Plan, and is responsible for supervising and implementing a great variety of projects. Wilfredo has attended numerous managerial training to further improve his productivity and supervisory skills. He began as an administrative assistant in 2004 for the Title V Grant under Prof. Kim Sanabria as Principal Investigator. When the grant expired, he moved to the Office of Academic Affairs as an HEO taking on a variety of responsibilities. He holds an M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from Lehman College.
As a computer scientist, engineer, and teacher passionate about technology, I work with and administer many systems on a daily basis. The best part of my day is when I am able to share my technology expertise with students. One of the systems I worked with is Blackboard, the course management system used in the City University of New York (CUNY) for the delivery of Online, Hybrid, and Web-enhanced courses.
Eric Ritholz has been the Online Learning Coordinator for the Office of Educational Technology since May of 2018. He holds graduate degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma and an Undergraduate from StonyBrook University as well as several certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, and online pedagogy. For 22 years he had the roles of visiting professor, program director, and course advisor at many universities around the world.
Professor Ramson is an attorney and has been a member of the New York State and Georgia bars since 1983 and 1987, respectively. She practices immigration and international law. She was employed at New York City by Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler and a boutique law firm and worked at a law firm in Geneva. She is a professor in the Public Policy & Law Unit, where she has taught public administration, paralegal and criminal justice courses since 1990.
Asrat Amnie is an Assistant Professor at Hostos Community College of the City University of New York. He graduated with a Doctor of Education in Health Education (EdD) from Teachers College, Columbia University in the City of New York. He also graduated with a Master’s in Global Health (MPH) from Emory University and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from West Texas A&M University. Asrat Amnie is an International Medical Graduate with over 20 years of experience in clinical and public health leadership and practice. He earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Jimma University and graduated with a specialty in General Surgery after completing a surgical residency training from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia—his country of origin.
