Team-Based Learning

Team-Based Learning (TBL) is a teaching method in which students are organized into teams to work together to learn and apply course content.

A faculty inquiry group at Hostos discusses the implementation of TBL in the classroom, including strategies for creating effective teams, designing team assignments and assessments, and addressing common challenges that arise in a TBL setting. The focus group also provides an opportunity for faculty to share their experiences with TBL and discuss best practices for incorporating this method into their teaching. Overall, the focus group aims to provide faculty with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to effectively implement TBL in their courses and improve student learning outcomes.
