Mehrnaz Moghaddam

Mehrnaz Moghaddam is a Ph.D. student in the Cultural Anthropology Program at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, where her research focuses on the political economy of labor migration, intersection of immigration and violence, and the intersection of economic and political processes of racialization in the Middle East. Mehrnaz has taught classes in ‘Economics and Management’ at the City College of New York. And, she currently teaches ‘Introduction to Anthropology’ at the the College of Staten Island. As a Humanities Alliance fellow at Hostos, Mehrnaz is interested in learning the ways in which the experience of higher education for community college students can be improved through ‘Experiential Learning’ programs.
