Denise Cummings Clay

Ph.D., is Assistant Professor in the Education Department at Hostos Community College/City University of New York. She is lead author of “Shifting Modalities: Providing K-5 Montessori Education Online during the COVID-19 Pandemic,” published in Global Education Review in December 2021 (Vol. 8, No. 4). She authored “Impact of OER in Teacher Education”, an article reflecting her research findings on Open Educational Resources (OER) in the December 2020 issue (Vol. 12, No. 4) of Open Praxis, published by the International Council for Open and Distance Education. She is contributing author in a published article in The International Journal of Open Educational Resources in its Winter 2020 (Vol. 2, No. 1) issue. She serves as Secretary of the Hostos Institutional Research Committee and as a member of the campus-wide Liberal Arts Committee. Serving the community, she is a Trustee of the New York City Montessori Charter School Board.
