Asrat Amnie

Dr. Asrat Amnie is an Assistant Professor at Hostos Community College. Dr. Amnie received a Doctor of Education in Health Education (EdD) from Teachers College Columbia University. He also earned a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Emory University.
Dr. Amnie is an international Medical Graduate. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Jimma University and he is certified and licensed to practice general surgery in Ethiopia—his country of origin.
Dr. Amnie is a member of the American Public Health Association and Society for Public Health Education. His research interests include high-risk health behavior and communicable diseases.
