Student Developed Course Content Using Rich Media in an Online Course Environment

Abstract:

Online courses are becoming a medium to reach non-traditional students and increase student recruitment and retention in higher education. Using rich media to allow students to contribute to the course content allows the instructor to assess students’ strengths. Enlisting students as co-creators of content results in online students engaging in active learning.
