Flipping the script! Rewriting educational narratives of Latino students at Bronx Community College

Abstract:

In this presentation, students showcase individual and collective attempts at producing lectures using Prezi, PowerPoint, and other software to improve peers’ understanding of social psychological concepts. Students constructed lectures mindful of what is theorized about them and about the abilities of Latino undergraduates. They seek to challenge scripts of under-performance by demonstrating what is possible when students take a turn at the helm of teaching.
