Blackboard e‐Portfolio: Transitioning Existing Activities to New Technologies
Presenter:
Helen Keier, Manager of Support Services; Chandra Shehigian, Training and Support Specialist; Caroline Peppers, Blackboard Support; all of John Jay Online, John Jay College of Criminal Justice
Abstract:
This session will introduce Paper Chase as a framework for Blackboard’s new ePortfolio functionality. Traditionally, Paper Chase is submitted as a collection of paper-based written assignments, but starting in Spring 2015 two sections of Computer Applications for Public Management will use the Blackboard e-Portfolio tool to present their projects. In addition to providing instruction on using the new tool, this session will emphasize how to transition existing paper-based student assignments to an online format.
