Congratulation to Professor Sarah Hoiland, Assistant Professor, in the Behavioral and Social Sciences Department.
The Eastern Sociological Society (ESS), which is the regional version of the American Sociological Association, awarded Sarah Hoiland with the Barbara R. Walters Community College Faculty Award for a book chapter she submitted in her application for the award. As you might know, Barbara R. Walters is a CUNY emeritus (Kingsborough Community College and CUNY School of Professional Studies). It is an honor to have Hostos faculty colleague receive the award this year. Professor Hoiland presented a paper at the ESS conference this year and received the award in person.
