Hostos’ own Professor Natasha Yannacanedo played the role of Ms. Cruz in a short film called The Apologizers. It premiered at New York Japan Cinefest at the Asia Society June 7-9, 2018. The film was directed by Yasu Suzuki, won an award, and was nominated for others. The film has been selected for many film festivals, thus the “official selection” title in the citation below.
