Two Hostos students presented their research posters at the 2019 SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference at Farmingdale State College, SUNY in Long Island on April 26, 2019.

Mohosina Islam, a CSTEP/STEP, Hostos, alumna and Grove School of Engineering at City College student, presented “Comparative Characterization of Polyphenolic Compounds from Parsley, Cilantro, and Bok Choy Generated by Aeroponics and Regular Farming”. The faculty member serving as the student’s mentor on this project is Debasish Roy, associate professor in the Natural Sciences Department.
Sara Soto, a Nursing major at Hostos presented “A Review on the Advancements of Stem Cell Applications”. The faculty member serving as the student’s mentor on this project is Soheli Chowdhury, an adjunct assistant professor in the Natural Sciences Department.
Jassiel Del Milagros Mena, a Hostos CC Liberal Arts and Sciences major, will presenting with us in the Bronx EdTech on Friday, May 3, 2019.
