Yoel Rodriguez is a Professor in the Natural Sciences Department and is the Engineering Program Coordinator.
Professor Yoel Rodriguez received a CUNY 2018 Community College Research Grant, which will allow him to continue developing his research in computational biophysics. He will embark on a novel project aimed at discovering small-molecule modulators of YEATS domain proteins in collaboration with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Dysfunction of these YEATS family proteins have been linked to human diseases, mainly cancer. He is grateful and excited for this opportunity. Indeed, his research will engage an undergraduate student, Ibrahima Doukoure, a Hostos major in electrical engineering.
