CUE Conference Update

The CUE call for proposals received over 60 submissions from colleagues across CUNY. Possible presenters represent many campuses including the Graduate Center as well as the Central Office. Additionally, most of the community colleges and many of the four year colleges were represented.
The CUE Steering Committee envisioned some unique presenting formats for interested parties. Some of these formats include round-table lunches facilitated by students and moderated by faculty, and flipped workshop sessions that provide participants access to presentation materials well in advance of the session. The Steering Committee worked to emphasize the need to show the impact of particular initiatives by including the student voice; thereby encouraging co-presentation with students.
Further, this year’s conference strives to show the collaborative nature of higher education by offering opportunities for faculty and staff, both, to share how their work collaboratively impacts student learning and institutional efficiency.
If you submitted a proposal for consideration, you can expect to receive notice regarding acceptance prior to spring break. Good luck to all who submitted proposals and stay tuned for more updates about the conference appearing in the Academic Scoop.
The CUE Conference will be held on Friday, May 13th, 2016 at Hostos Community College.
