Meet the “NEW” Hostos QR Fellows
By Devora Geller, Scott Fisher, Gowun Park
Greetings from the Quantitative Reasoning Fellows! We are settling in to life at Hostos, and are excited to work with faculty and staff to develop new quantitative activities for the classroom. On September 16, we participated in the Adjunct Faculty Open House. Scott Fisher and Gowun Park gave an exciting presentation on telling stories with graphs as a part of Professor Cynthia Jones’s Student Engagement workshop on October 6. Our next QR development workshop in collaboration with Professor Sandy Figueroa will take place on Monday, November 9 at 2pm. The topic is group work with an emphasis on quantitative reasoning. We hope to see you there! Be sure to check out our section of the CTL website. In the coming weeks we will be adding information about upcoming events and QR resources for faculty. Do you have an awesome QR-related website or lesson plan? We’d love to hear about it! Drop by our office (B440) or send us an email:
