On January 10, 2013, Hostos Community College Library won two grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities for the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf Collection The collection consists of 25 books, three DVDs and access to Oxford Islamic Studies Online.

This Fall, we are starting a new series, “Tackling Islamophobia: Understanding Islam and Muslim-Americans Through Personal Narratives.”

Every two months we will host a special book discussion event featuring five memoirs and personal narratives from the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf collection.

Join us as we celebrate our new Muslim Journeys Bookshelf collection! Faculty, students and staff are invited to peruse the collection and enter a raffle to win one of the books from the collection! Join us as we offer Muslim Journeys Bookshelf-themed giveaways such as bookmarks, buttons, etc.
