Resting heart is the number of times your heart beats in one minute first thing in the morning before getting out of bed.
The average resting heart rate of a sedentary person (someone who does not exercise) is between 70-85bpm (beats per minute).
Generally if the heart rate is lower this means the person has a stronger heart and needs to pump less times per minute. Since the heart is stronger it pumps much more blood with each heart beat. If a person’s resting heart rate is higher than 85bpm, this means they must begin a fitness routine in order to strengthen their heart. The more it needs to pump per minute to sustain their body, the harder it is working. So let’s start exercising slowly at least 2 times per week and begin increasing as we get more fit.
